How to engage 1000 customers with Agile Requirements gathering via Social Media and Mobile

Speaker:
Stefano Rizzo - SVP Strategy e Business Development di Polarion

Agile methods have proven their ability to improve project success rates – but there is still some pretty wild, yet-to-be explored territory. One of the key issues to succeed with Agile methods in Development is that the user must be part of the development team: this is stated by one of the most popular Agile best practices. So apparently Agile methods cannot be applied to those projects with thousand users, especially when these users are dispersed around the globe and around the clock.

At Polarion Software we went through a continuous process improvement over 10+ years and today we successfully apply Agile methods in software development together with a formal and more traditional Requirements gathering approach.

In this presentation the attendee will learn about the real benefits of Agile methods adoption and will be warned about the hurdles that must be taken into account when trying to apply such methods in a project involving tons of requirements spreading from thousands of users. We will also envision the use of Mobile and Social Media to improve requirements harvesting.
