Agile Testing: The ISTQB® Approach

In June 2014, ISTQB® will release the ISTQB® Agile Tester Foundation Extension syllabus. This syllabus describes the general concepts of agile software development, and how to adapt software testing best practices into such development projects. In this one-day tutorial, Rex Black will give a condensed version of RBCS's accredited two-day ISTQ®B Agile Tester Foundation course. When you attend, you'll learn the answers to the following questions:

  • What are the fundamentals and basic ideas of agile software development?
  • What essential agile testing principles, practices, and processes must I know to be effective on an agile project?
  • How does testing differ in traditional and agile approaches?
  • What is the status of testing and the role of the tester in agile projects?
  • What skills do I need to be an effective and efficient tester in an agile team?
  • What are the essential agile testing methods and techniques?
  • How do I analyze quality risks and estimate test effort in agile projects?
  • What tools can help me as an agile tester?

Rex will illustrate these points with real case studies of clients who are successfully using agile methods and applying testing best practices in the context of those methods
